
The Music Area of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Angelo State University seeks to fill the position of Assistant Professor of Music, Voice. This full-time, tenure-track position calls for an individual with a commitment to undergraduate music education with the ability to teach applied voice, vocal pedagogy and literature, vocal methods, diction, and academic music courses as necessary.
Duties:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Ability to teach applied voice with preference to the female voice.

- Ability to teach vocal diction.

- Ability to teach elementary vocal methods, vocal literature, vocal pedagogy.

- Ability to teach across disciplines including fundamental courses in Music Theory, Aural Skills, Music History, and/or Elementary Music Methods.

- Knowledge and proven abilities in student recruitment and retention.
Minimum Qualifications

- Terminal degree in Music (DMA, DA, PhD, or equivalent)

- Minimum of two years collegiate teaching, or equivalent
