The Carlos Alvarez College of Business at The University of Texas

Essential Functions
The Department of Management at the Carlos Alvarez College of
Business at The University of Texas at San Antonio invites
applications for one Assistant Professor of Practice position
beginning Fall 2025. We welcome candidates with industry and
teaching experience in the areas of Entrepreneurship, General
Management, and Organizational Behavior.
This is a three-year appointment, Beginning August 2025, with an
option to renew after three years.
Responsibilities include teaching multiple sections of
undergraduate entrepreneurship courses, courses in general
management or strategic management, and active participation in
departmental, university, and community activities.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach up to eight
courses per year and will be expected to work non-remotely,
teaching in-person courses on campus. Successful candidates will
also be expected to incorporate experiential learning into their
courses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Business, Management, Entrepreneurship,
Strategic Management, or a closely related discipline. - Experience teaching at the undergraduate level, with evidence
of outstanding performance in previous teaching assignments. - Demonstrated ability and desire to work collegially with
faculty and students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Management, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, or
a closely related discipline. - Experience teaching courses incorporating experiential
learning - Expertise in entrepreneurship or management.

Working Conditions
This position will be primarily located on campus.
