The Department of Communication, Media, and Performance at Framingham State University is seeking a tenure track faculty member in digital film production starting September 2025. The ideal candidate will be adept at telling stories in a variety of media, including podcasts, short videos, and longer films. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in multimedia production and related areas, advising students, managing media equipment loaned to students, and contributing to the administration of the department and university.

Annual performance review by department until tenure.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Terminal degree (MFA or PhD) preferred, and required before candidate becomes eligible for tenure.

Experience with or a demonstrated willingness to participate in teaching, mentoring, research, or service activities that promote the growth of an equitable, diverse, and inclusive academic environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

College-level teaching experience and a growing or established record of creative scholarship in digital film production.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible position in the Massachusetts State College Association (MSCA) bargaining unit at a faculty rank commensurate with experience and credentials. Salary commensurate with experience in accordance with Appendix O of the MSCA contract.
