Job Summary
The Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a Research Associate to support research activities conducted in collaboration with the Construction Safety Research Alliance (CSRA). The successful candidate will play a key role in publishing peer-reviewed journal articles, supporting data collection and analysis, mentoring graduate students, and assisting with the administrative coordination of research projects.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Conduct rigorous academic research focused on construction safety and related civil engineering topics.
- Draft and submit manuscripts to high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
- Support the design and execution of field and survey-based data collection and analysis efforts.
- Mentor and provide guidance to graduate research assistants and student interns.
- Engage with industry partners through the Construction Safety Research Alliance.
What We Can Offer
The salary associated with this part-time position is $3,466.44 per month (equivalent to $41,597.28 per year).

What We Require
- A PhD in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on construction safety.
- Demonstrated experience conducting collaborative research with both academic and industry partners.
- A strong background in evaluating the impact of safety practices and policies on both short-term and long-term safety outcomes.
- Experience designing and executing field experiments aimed at establishing causal relationships in safety research.
- Proficiency in measuring the quality of pre-task planning and delivering training related to high-energy controls assessments.
