Position Details
Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
The Department of History at Sam Houston State University invites applications for a pool faculty position, to begin academic year 2025-2026. We are seeking applicants with the ability to teach both halves of the U.S. history survey, either face to face or online. Evidence of effective undergraduate teaching preferred; online teaching experience a plus. Teaching load is based on the needs of the department and may range between one and four courses per semester.
Educational Requirements for the Position
Ph.D. in History preferred; Master’s in History is required prior to the start of the appointment.
Experience Required for the Position
Undergraduate teaching experience preferred.
Other Requirements for the Position
