Position: Open Rank Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics (12-month tenure-track, 100% Extension)

Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: 1) develop a nationally- recognized Extension program focusing on one or more of the following: agribusiness development, entrepreneurship, and/or economic development; 2) publish in quality disciplinary and multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journals and Extension publications; 3) acquire extramural funding; 4) mentor and supervise undergraduate and graduate students; 5) a potential to teach a graduate or undergraduate course in the Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics, and 6) participate in the service activities of the Department, College, University, and profession. The expected start date is January 1, 2026.

Salary: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Ph.D. in agricultural economics, economics, or a closely related field; excellent communication skills; ability to work in disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams.
