Earlham College is seeking an Enrollment Management Technology Specialist to join our team!
Summary:
As a member of the Operations team within the Office of Admissions, the Enrollment Management Technology Specialist will serve as the functional expert on the Slate CRM system and Banner Financial Aid. The Technology Specialist will maintain, develop, configure, trouble shoot, and optimize the operational aspects of the systems in order to support efficient internal business processes and user experiences, and to provide compelling experiences for external users through Slate portals, visit/event registrations, and other areas of the website. The person in this position works closely with the Admissions and Financial Aid staff, ITS department, and other campus offices, and reports directly to the Director of Admissions Operations.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor the data integration between Slate and other campus systems (e.g., Banner and Front Rush) and work independently with ITS and appropriate offices when new systems are integrated.
- Develop and implement enrollment management testing protocols for all integrated systems, to include the management of patches, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Primary liaison between the enrollment division and ITS for all technology-related issues.
- Develop, maintain, and provide oversight of enrollment management technology access policy that addresses user access and permissions.
- Build Slate import templates and export queries. Oversee batch loads of data; cleaning and formatting lists, as necessary.
- Create and/or update automations to include rules and populations.
- Maintain the Slate system database to include record cleanup and duplicate record consolidation.
- Build, map, and maintain web forms, including applications for admission and financial aid, and ensure correct formatting of data for integration in Banner.
- Build and maintain communications to support activities throughout the admission cycle (e.g., events, campus visits, travel, application processing, yield), to include e-mail templates, text messages, and mail merged print documents.
- Collaborate with the Slate team, ITS and other campus offices, as appropriate, to develop additional Slate functionalities and efficiencies (e.g., scholarship applications, the confirmed student portal, access for Athletics, etc).
- Create and maintain reports and queries to assess performance, productivity, and efficiencies within the Admissions Office.
- Produce documentation for the Admissions Office of the processes, procedures, and best practices developed and used in admissions operations.
- Create training materials and conduct training sessions on the various technologies associated with Admissions (e.g., Slate, Banner, hardware).
- Work with the Admissions Office Slate team to research, document, and implement enhancements, and to seek creative solutions to expand functionality and increase efficiencies.
- Provide support for daily operations tasks and projects, as needed (e.g., answering phone calls, managing the general admission email account, preparing bulk mailings).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Accuracy in word processing and data entry – strong attention to detail.
- Ability to use and manipulate data using Microsoft Excel.
