Job Summary:
Wilberforce University is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Admissions Recruiter to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in representing the university, building relationships with prospective students and their families, and guiding them through the admissions process. This position requires extensive travel, excellent communication skills, and a passion for higher education.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Represent Wilberforce University at high schools, college fairs, community events, and other recruitment activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students, families, counselors, and community partners.
- Conduct engaging presentations about Wilberforce University, highlighting programs, campus life, and opportunities.
- Guide prospective students through the admissions process, including application submission, financial aid, and enrollment.
- Collaborate with the admissions team to develop recruitment strategies and meet enrollment goals.
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and provide regular updates on progress.
- Assist in planning and hosting on-campus recruitment events such as open houses and campus tours.
- Utilize CRM software to manage communications and track interactions with prospective students.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, or a related field is preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, which will include evenings, weekends and overnight stays for extended periods.
- Maintain professional appearance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a team environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- A passion for higher education, and the ability to articulate the mission of Wilberforce University.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable car.
