The School of Business, Department of Accounting, Economics, and Finance at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock) invites applications for the Professor of Finance – 9 mo. (Joe T. Ford Chair of Finance) position (R0067923/P00001157). This is a 9-month non-tenure track faculty position to begin August 16, 2025.

The Department of Accounting, Economics, and Finance faculty share a collegial atmosphere and are dedicated to student success. The department is made up of 15 tenured and tenure-track faculty working across four undergraduate degree programs as well as four minors.
The Joe T. Ford Chair of Finance is responsible for teaching in the finance curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The university expects instructional excellence and scholarly output appropriate for a school with AACSB accreditation of its undergraduate and MBA programs. This position is governed by state and federal laws as well as agency and institution policy.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Finance or related field; Research record commensurate to be tenured at the rank of Full Professor.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience and research in investments or related areas; Record of engagement with industry practitioners such as portfolio/fund managers, CFA groups, etc.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform research leading to publication in national journals in the areas of instruction, such publications will be considered in yearly evaluations; Teach required courses per semester (fall and spring), of which 2 to 3 may be different courses; Classes take place in the mornings, at night (1 night/week), and/or online. During summers (subject to funding, department need, and availability) all full-time faculty members, including Instructors, may teach an additional 2 courses for 15% of their 9-month salary, over a 5-week period of time.
Serve on University, College, School, and Department committees; Other duties as assigned.
